Save your money. Most computers made in 2009 or later have 24-bit sound cards that overcome their bad reputation. Differences in sound from
an ideal DAC (digital-to-analog converter) are almost entirely due to inaccurate frequency response, easily compensated by the Burwen Bobcat
Tone Balancer. Even with just Burwen Bobcat TR the sound is clean.
Audiophiles like vacuum tube amplifiers because of the frequency response improvement due to their higher internal output impedance, a function
much better performed by the Burwen Bobcat Tone Balancer. Forget tubes.
If you are not able to purchase the Burwen Bobcat Tone Balancer above, then use Burwen Bobcat TR together with the free equalizer that comes
with the Windows Media Player. Not as good, but a substantial improvement for clean sound and tonal balance. It will make your speaker system
sound a lot more expensive.
